Soma Bagaria is a Senior Partner at S.K. Lath & Co. and leads the Firm’s Corporate Advisory and Commercial Transactions practice. With extensive experience across domestic and international legal environments, she advises corporates, investors, promoters, financial institutions, start-ups and family-owned businesses on complex corporate, commercial and transactional matters.
Soma began her legal career with Global Law Alliance LLC, Singapore, where she gained valuable exposure to cross-border commercial transactions and international business structures. She subsequently joined Cyril Amarchand Mangaldas (formerly Amarchand Mangaldas), one of India’s leading law firms, where she advised clients on a broad spectrum of corporate and commercial matters.
Following her relocation to Kolkata, Soma served as Legal Head at Vinod Kothari & Company, further strengthening her expertise in corporate structuring, finance transactions, regulatory compliance and strategic advisory. She joined S.K. Lath & Co. in 2016 with the commencement of SKN Legal LLP and has since played a significant role in expanding the Firm’s corporate and commercial advisory capabilities.
Soma’s experience also extends to advising on leasing and finance transactions, assignment of intellectual property rights and receivables, shareholder arrangements, management contracts, and other high-value transactional matters. Her ability to combine legal analysis with commercial understanding enables her to deliver practical, solution-oriented advice that aligns legal strategy with business objectives.

With over a decade of experience, Neha Mehta specialises in real estate and property law, with particular expertise in property transactions, dispute resolution, and real estate documentation.
Her practice includes advising on complex project approvals, takeovers, short sales, and transaction structuring, with a focus on delivering practical and commercially effective solutions. She regularly assists clients in navigating legal and regulatory requirements associated with real estate transactions while ensuring that documentation and transaction structures align with their commercial objectives.

She is actively involved in the formulation of legal policies and operational frameworks that facilitate the smooth functioning of banks and other organisations. Her practice also includes drafting commercial contracts relating to sale transactions, procurement arrangements, and vendor engagements for a diverse range of corporate clients.
